Timothy Renner - Baritone

University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL

I have the goal of becoming a professional musician in a university faculty position which will allow me to perform in opera and concert settings on occasion.

I am also strongly interested in continuing to accompany and coach younger singers who aspire to a high level of artistry.

Michael Miller - Baritone

University of Michigan

After graduating from Michigan, I hope to further my studies through training programs and begin a career as a classical baritone. I hope to perform both classical repertoire as well as modern American opera.

An ideal career would include performing and eventually turning to arts management.

Trevor Cook - Baritone

Eastman School of Music

My professional goals are to be a teacher and performer of opera and art song.

To create a foundation in the generation to come to love this kind of music and make it thrive long after I'm gone is my dream.

I would like to finish my studies at CCM and begin working professionally in an opera house as a Young Artist and eventually a professional main stage singer with management.

I also would like to perform as many recitals of art song as possible.

I aim to be an authentic and stylistic interpreter of the music I sing. For me, the most addicting part of being a classical singer is exploring the different composers’ nuances, and the atmospheres they try to create.

From Handel to Berg, every composer, style, language, and culture has its own character that needs to be expressed.
