THE 28TH S. LIVINGSTON MATHER SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON OF THE SINGERS. CLUB OF CLEVELAND
The Singers’ Club of Cleveland – possibly the longest standing, continuously performing, musical arts organization in Cleveland – just celebrated its 125th Concert Season. In addition to performing music for men’s chorus, it awards scholarships to young male singers. This November 3rd, The Singers Club stages its 28th annual S. Livingston Mather Scholarship Competition. The Mather Competition is visible nationally. Competitors in the event (male student vocalists) study and train at leading conservatories throughout the United States. Its scholarship winners stand with the most promising young male vocalists in the nation. Three recent scholarship winners advanced into the final rounds of the yearly Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and one received a Grand Prize.
