S. Livingston Mather Scholarship Competition
For Male Voice Students

Eligibility:
The competition is open to full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate music degree program.
Audition:
Competitors must submit an audition video file. Sixteen finalists will be selected from those applying. See the competition rules and procedures for details regarding audition requirements.
Required competition program:
Three works having a combined length of no more than ten minutes.
The program must include:
an aria from the opera or oratorio literature,
an art song, and
a selection of the singer’s choice.
The singer must perform at least one work in English. The performance order must be submitted with the application. Applicants must provide their own accompanist.

Don VerKuilen - artistic director, Singer’s Club of Cleveland

George L. Hackett Scholar $1,400
Jere H. Brophy Scholar $1,400
Albert Rees Davis Scholars $1,250
Performance Opportunities:
Award recipients may be invited to perform as soloists in Singers’ Club concerts as opportunity permits. They also may be invited to perform in a recital for benefactors.
